Binder and electrolyte optimisation

Adjusting binder and electrolyte systems together with the active material and process conditions.

The binder holds the electrode structure together and the electrolyte governs ion transport and interface formation. Both interact strongly with the active material, especially in systems with significant volume change.

Optimisation therefore means testing combinations rather than single components: active material, binder, electrolyte, lithium dosage and process parameters are varied in a structured sequence so their contributions can be separated.

This work can be evaluated in our laboratory equipment and is frequently part of prelithiation-process development projects.
